Roxanne Thompson, LPC
Founder of DTCG
Roxanne is the owner and operator of Denver Therapy & Consulting LLC. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in mental health within the state of Colorado for 30 years. Her areas of expertise include trauma, abuse, attachment disorders, and family systems. Roxanne has worked extensively with foster and adoptive families and serves as a national trainer. Driven to create opportunities for positive change in the clients she serves, she is committed to contributing to communities both locally and nationally.
Alongside fellow therapist Jan Tomski, she co-founded Adoptive Family Resources, a non-profit organization that provided post-adoptive services to families with children with psychological needs. Roxanne currently serves on two Boards: the Colorado State Foster Parent Association, and the Colorado Coalition for Adoptive Families. As a lifelong believer in education and development, Roxanne provides adoption home studies and educational seminars on diverse subjects through Denver Therapy & Consultation Group LLC.
Roxanne holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Work from Metro State University and a Master’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Roxanne worked as a therapist, then served as the Clinical Director for the Institute for Attachment and Child Development (IACD) from 2019-2021.
